We've got together with our friends at Cambridge University's Engineering Department to run some amazing engineering activities for families.  Working as a team you'll design, build and test bridges and rockets:

  • can your rocket fly as high as our chimney?
  • can you build a strong bridge from only paper and masking tape?

All children need to be accompanied by at least one adult who is happy to join in with the activities - sitting at the side and watching is definitely not allowed!

Suitable for children aged 7 and above.  Tickets cost £1.50 for children, £2.00 for concessions and £3.50 for adults and include admission to the whole museum.

Numbers are limited so advanced booking is advised: please email info@museumoftechnology.com

About Summer at the Museums

Summer at the Museums is delivered by the University of Cambridge Museums as part of its Arts Council funded Major Partner Museum programme. Pack more into your summer and join museums and collections in Cambridge and beyond for family activities, events and trails throughout the school holidays.

The Summer at the Museum’s What’s On guide provides day-by-day listings and details about what’s happening and where.

Provide your Feedback to Enter Draw for £50 Retail Voucher!

Summer at the Museums organisers are keen to find out what you think of your Summer at the Museums experience. Feedback from families is very important in helping us improve our offer and we would be very grateful if you could spare time to complete an online survey. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete: all completed questionnaires will be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a £50 Amazon voucher.
