During these open days the whole of the museum is open and some of the non-steam exhibits can be running.

A pair of Bristols

Classic & Vintage Bus Day
26th July
11am - 5pm

As a very special part of our Classic and Vintage Bus Day we are offering a Vintage Bus Tour starting with a guided tour of the Old Pumping Station, Cambridge continuing to Prickwillow Drainage Engine Museum where various engines will be running, returning via Stretham Old Engine, the amazing Beam Engine drainage station.
Prices: Adult: =£15; Concession = £13; Child = £9.50; Family (4) = £46; under 7’s £5.50

Entry for exhibits is still open and are being dealt with by the Cambridge Omnibus Society.
Owing to the limited space available at the museum site (only around 12 vehicles) entry will be initially restricted to those buses & coaches with a Cambridge connection. ie ex Eastern Counties & vehicles operated by local independent operators. If your vehicle complies please submit entry to Andy Baker abaker@camre.ac.uk tel. 01353 741367 (evenings) stating year, make & type of vehicle, registration number, & operator.

August Bank Holiday Steaming

In Steam, 11am - 5pm

Once again we take advantage of a Bank Holiday weekend to fire up the boiler.


September

Gas engines

Gas Engines Centenary.
26th and 27th September

Celebrations for the centenary of our National Gas Engines

Model trains at the Museum

Model Railway Show
4th October
12am - 5pm

Model trains of all scales in action on a variety of layouts.


Museum in steam

October Steaming
31st October and 1st November
In Steam, 11am - 5pm

The museum comes to life again as the boiler is stoked up and a number of the steam engines are run.

Admission Prices

Adults £5 for steam days and and £3 for non steam days.
Concessions will be available.
The children's charge covers children between the ages of seven and 18.
Under sevens are free.
The ticket shop sells refreshments and souveneirs
