The museum is open, but not in steam 2-5pm

Easter to October - Every Sunday
November to Easter - 1st Sunday in month
During these open days the whole of the museum is open and some of the non-steam exhibits can be running.

New Year opening

We are usually open for a steam weekend at this time of year, but due to problems with the boiler the steam weekend is not to take place. The museum will definitely be open but without steam.

Electrical Exhibition for Science Festival

The museum hosts an Electrical Exhibition for the Science Festival

All the chills of winter are warmed out of the museum on this Bank Holiday steam up.

The museum celebrates the Late May Bank Holiday by roaring into life again.

Once again we take advantage of a Bank Holiday weekend to fire up the boiler.

Model trains of all scales in action on a variety of layouts.

October Steaming
30th and 31st October
In Steam, 11am - 5pm

The museum comes to life again as the boiler is stoked up and a number of the steam engines are run.

Admission Prices

Adults £5 for steam days and and £3 for non steam days.
Concessions will be available.
The children's charge covers children between the ages of seven and 18.
Under sevens are free.
The ticket shop sells refreshments and souveneirs
