Cambridge Museum of Technology and Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Society ran a photo competition in summer/autumn 2017.
We were looking for photographs that showed the beauty, interest, or quirkiness of:
- Cambridgeshire industrial heritage
- Technology and innovation
- The museum
The judges were really impressed with the quality of the entries and enjoyed seeing different perspectives of the Museum and industrial heritage. We were delighted to announce the following winners:
Roger Newark, 'Sluicegate, on the Sixteen Foot'
Sarah Kelman, our external judge, noted that 'Not only has the author captured a stunning landscape typical of the Cambridgeshire countryside, it also reminds us that it was technology that allowed the draining of the Fens and management of the water levels'.
