Pumping Station in Pixels - a Minecraft inspired evening of craft.

Follow our trail through the museum to find Minecraft related items from our collections. Get crafting along the way, exploring crafts of old and from the Minecrafting world.

Find out about the history of our machinery, here at Cambridge Museum of Technology through our Minecraft themed trail. Find the items at each station, add them to your inventory, and collect the Mincraft ‘recipes’. Try your hand at crafting at our crafting tables. What will you create a Redstone Lamp? A mine cart?

AND! We will be joined by Fossils Galore, who will be showcasing many of the Minecraft materials you can find in real life!

Cost

The event is free! This includes entry to the museum, 5pm-6pm or 6pm-7pm , access to our Minecraft inspired trail, a chance to see Fossils Galore, and one free ‘minecoin’ per child.

Trade your ‘minecoins’ at our activity stations to take part in extra activities. Additional ‘minecoins’ can be purchased on this page, and on the day. Craft activites will range from 1-3 ‘minecoins’, and we recommend no more than 10 for a child wishing to do all activites (time permitting). *

Any remaining ‘minecoins’ at the end of the event may be refunded.

*The ‘minecoins’ help us to cover the material cost of our activites. We have a number of ‘minecoins’ available for people receiving Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Pension Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support or Jobseeker's Allowance.
