Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Group’s November talk takes us for an exclusive look behind the scenes at Craftmaster Restorations, a leading industrial heritage restoration company based in Cambridgeshire.  Jamie Allen will talk us through projects which have passed through the workshop, giving rusting pieces of our industrial past a shiny new lease of life.

Jamie, who leads Craftmaster Restorations, has over 15 years of experience in steam and vintage heritage engineering. Since joining the Craftmaster family several years ago he has helped complete some stunning restorations.

This (in-person) event will take place in the Pye Building at Cambridge Museum of Technology.  Entrance to the venue on the night is via the Museum’s upper gate on Cheddars Lane.

There will be free light refreshments courtesy of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMECHE)

Tickets for the event will be available on the door for £5 (£3 for students with ID).
Card-carrying members and volunteers of Cambridge Museum of Technology can attend for free.

Our talks are sometimes over-subscribed so we advise that you book your tickets in advance, see link below. Please bring an electronic or printed copy of your receipt to show on the door.
