We have been awarded emergency funding by Arts Council England to help us survive the Covid-19 crisis. This was made possible by money raised by National Lottery players.
The Museum trustees are keen that part of the grant should be used to work towards future
development, therefore we are investing funds in strengthening our volunteer team. Our volunteers are vital to the success of the Museum. They are involved in the delivery of all aspects of the our operations and provide us with strong links to our local communities. By strengthening our volunteer team we will equip the Museum to survive in the short term and become a more resilient organisation in the future.
We are seeking to appoint a consultant who shares our vision of developing a committed and active volunteer team . They will help us to reassess our current volunteering offer, look at creating new forms of volunteer engagement and extend our community relationships to encourage participation by a wider range of people.
