To coincide with the Railway 200 anniversary, Cambridge Industrial Archaeology Group (CIAG) has launched a new addition to its popular guided-walk programme. On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 November 2025, Museum volunteers Gordon Davies, David Stubbings and James Klima led pilot editions of a guided walk from Cambridge North Railway Station to Cambridge Museum of Technology.
Participants walked a 2km route, exploring Cambridge's transport heritage (plus many more industries exhibited at the museum) on route.
If you’re interested in participating in future walks, subscribe to the Museum’s online channels or email newsletter, or follow CIAG Facebook page.
More industrial-heritage guided-walks will be announced next year as part of CIAG’s spring-summer 2026 programme of events.
